Term Dates

The School Day

 The school day commences at 8:35am and doors close 8:45am prompt.  Pupils arriving after 8:45am must report to the school office and will be marked as an unauthorised absence unless exceptional circumstances (please refer to our attendance policy).  The school day finishes at 11:45am for Nursery (unless your child stays for 30 hour funding) and 3:15pm for the rest of the school.

Term Dates

The academic year or school year runs from 1st September to 31st August. Our core holidays are set by Hertfordshire, however, the school has five INSET days and one Occasional day to allocate each year.  Whenever possible the school has these days either at the beginning or at the end of a term so as to cause minimum disruption to pupils and families.  We also consider the term dates set by other local schools, but, it is not possible to match all the local schools and we ask that parents with children with us and at a secondary school check both schools’ term dates before booking any holiday.
